~The Merfolk~
~History~
No one knows for sure how the Merfolk were born. They have been around so long that people just kinda forgot the story.
~Founders~
No one knows.
~Territory~
They live in the ocean. Their main home is a large castle at the bottom of the sea. High Positions live on the 3rd floor, semi high positions live on the 2nd floor, and normal positions live on the 1st floor. They happily share their territory with many other sea creatures, but guard their castle and will not share it with anyone.
~Traits~
All merfolk have the upper half of a human and the bottom half of a fish. They are not all as beautiful as the sterotype disney princess mermaids. NONE of them are as thin (seriously peeps. ariel is like 2 inches around. it looks freaky in some scenes). Most of them are kind, smart, and peaceful.
~Beliefs~
Most of them believe in heaven and angels. However, every mermaid/merman can choose to believe in anything they want.
~Rules~

The royal's word is law.
Babies are not allowed out of the castle without their mother.
Students are not allowed to go outside unless their teacher is with them.
You may not keep other sea creatures as pets.
A student trains from the age of 6 years years to 18 years. If they wish to then train to become a guard, doctor, scout, or teacher, they must train for one year under that rank.
OOC
You may have no more than 1 high position and 1 semi high position, or 2 semi high positions. In addition to this, you can have as many normal positions as you want.
If your character is a stereotype mermaid/merman, I will NOT accept them.
The age is in human years.
